[252/365] old man with old phone

The charging port on this phone is dying. Sad times, same thing happened to the last model of this phone I had. I liked it so much, and didn't want to learn a whole new phone interface or give up features I rely on like a headphone jack, that I just got a refurbished one of exactly the same model.

I don't know how long I can keep getting refurbed versions of a phone from 2017, ha.

But I don't want a new phone! I still use the headphone jack every day!

(No advice or suggestions, please. I'm just grumpy.)

Not having a headphone jack is a dealbreaker for me. My phone needs replacing as it's croaking and keeps hanging. I hate researching phones, it's poo.

Hugs. I had two phones die during my time in Leighton Buzzard. Almighty nuisance :(

Ohhh, I sympathise. I hate changing systems and just want to cling to my creaky old refurbished phone forever (the lack of a headphone jack on newer models is such a pain).

Argh. Why is it charging ports that seem to be the problem on these items? Sympathies. (My perfectly good phone was working well, but then the charging port began to disconnect.)

Sympathies. Frustrating the way the phone companies seem to be racing each other for the identical set of features that a lot of us don’t want, and leaving out ones we do:-(

This is so true! I would love to be able to buy a phone that has physical buttons, a good battery, and sturdy connections for things like charging and headphones. But there's just no option for that...meanwhile I can now have a phone that folds in half?! Sheesh. :)
