A few days ago, my friend Amelia on Mastodon mentioned plans to watch some "inconsequential baseball" when spring training games started today so I was looking forward to that too.
But when I looked at the MLB app this afternoon, it wasn't showing me anything between September and April. I thought maybe it was broken or something but, poking around reading about the Twins, I saw on their spring training FAQ

How can I watch/listen/follow Spring Training games?Well that's no goddam run. I don't know if it's a pandemic precaution (unlikely in Florida where there aren't any, and anyway commentary can be done from a distance) or what but it sucks that they don't even give an explanation or a nod to the fact that people might be disappointed by this. Just "The Twins have no plans yet to do this normal thing they normally do." Hmph.
The Twins have not yet announced any radio or television broadcast plans for Spring Training games.

Date: 2021-02-28 11:59 pm (UTC)I was listening to the Red Sox / Twins game earlier today and thinking that you were listening too, so I'm now sad that you weren't.
Also, I did have a choice of radio station between WEEI and WCCO, so hopefully you should be able to listen from now on.
