cosmolinguistI slept better if not great last night. More sinus headache today, I've been struggling with them in the last couple weeks, but I had enough caffeine and ibuprofen to get me through my meeting, just about.
And then I felt good enough to empty and clean the fridge/freezer before new groceries arrived. I helped do the the "collect" part of that click-and-collect, and then made dinner (meat for the meat-eaters, veggie kiev for me, new potatoes and purple sprouting broccoli for everyone).
Took Gary for a big walk after dinner. He's been super-keen on his walks today! He asked me for the first one at about eleven, when they happen about lunchtime these days (it used to be "before I left the house in the morning," so sometime between 8 and 10 depending on when I had work or uni, but it's really slid in the last ten months now that I work in the afternoons and do nothing else) and sometimes he has to really be coaxed into them. And then the after-dinner walk, which he always loves, he started asking for as soon as I put dinner in the oven. We have actually walked him before we ate a couple times lately, like when we were waiting for takeaway to appear the other day, but tonight's dinner needed more supervision so the little dog had to wait.
Anyway. It has been a pretty okay day.
