I'm probably one of very few people whose second New Model Army gig is this 40th-anniversary one that's being livestreamed tonight.

There might be family or other household members previously unintroduced but joining in at home. There will definitely be lots of old fans, from their various numbers of decades as fans.

But I went to my first gig of theirs with diffrentcolours in January. The last pre-pandemic gig we went to.

Honestly I really love gigs, or club nights, in quarantimes. You can hear yourself, and your friends (it's also a good way to share, by video or chat, gigs with people you'd never geographically be likely to share a gig with). The drinks are cheaper and I don't have to wait for everyone taller or maler to get served first. The toilets are nicer. And you can just go to bed when you're done! I do not miss trying to get a bus when I'm drunk.

All excellent points! Wobbling home on my bicycle at 2 am was not ideal.

I used to commute to work by bike and one time I stayed after for someone's leaving drinks and ended up so drunk I didn't trust myself to cycle home. For someone who doesn't drive, it was a novel experience! I didn't mind having to walk home.
