I've spent way too much of my day fighting with my laptop, trying to get it to do things like "change the system font" and "let me use the space bar." That last one isn't a mechanical problem; the space bar will work as shortcuts in various programs. It just won't let me put spaces between words!

So I'm typing this on my phone, which still isn't holding a charge. Technology is wonderful isn't it.

Very odd question, but did your laptop recently update, and have you had it on for a while (more than 3 hours) ? My old laptop had a similar issue with the c key after updates. Took a few reboots each time it happened to get it back to normal.

I rebooted it a bunch of times over the course of the day (I was messing around with system fonts before this, and the reboot sometimes fixed this space bar problem in the past...but not today!)

Yeah at one point I copied a space and just tried to put that in as I typed but it was extremely slow and awkward. Spaces are important, who knew. :)
