[187/366] not too shabby
Jul. 5th, 2020 11:14 pmOn Friday night,
otter wished me a restful weekend and I wasn't expecting it -- if nothing else, the dog had woken me up at a quarter past five on Thursday morning, and then a quarter to five Friday morning -- but I really have gotten it.
Not only did Gary let me sleep until 8:15 yesterday and 9 today, but I've also gotten a reasonable (if not good, okay at least) amount of essay work done. I've answered and otherwise dealt with a bunch of old emails that I'd been letting slide for weeks. I did some LGBT+ Lib Dems work around defining transphobia and writing internal guidance for how to avoid it if it happens at particular kinds of events. I took the dog for as many walks as the rainy, windy weather would permit, and we still got stuck out in the rain this afternoon and he made an unusually single-minded zoomy trip home.
Maybe most importantly, my dreams have been peaceful, my eyes have stayed dry, my intrusive thoughts are always there somewhere but haven't been too bad. I'm never great at relaxing at the best of times, which quarantine is not, but I'm doing better at it than usual these last couple days. I know it won't last so I'm enjoying it while it does.
