[287/365] good dog things

The dog is sleeping on my bed, I'm sitting here reading, and I just heard his tail thwap against the mattress. I idly registered this as information telling me he's awake, but then I heard a sleepy little snore. And the tail wagging wasn't joined by any of the scratching, licking, sniffing, mooching or rolling around I expect from Gary when he's awake.

As I was realizing this, the noise happened a few more times. Wag wag wag.

It's not like him to wag his tail in his sleep -- that's why I thought he was awake when I heard it. What a sweet thing. Glad you're having good dreams, my good boy.

Doggy emotions are so direct, and often warm.

Yeah we marvel that whatever he's doing or feeling, he's doing it completely. It is so pure and refreshing for us humans with our layers of anxiety and whatnot.

This is one of my favourite things that dogs do, ever. Also a big fan of the heart burstingly cute sound of them woofing in their sleep - more of a huff huff sort of sound really. Dogs are so wonderful

Gary does little squeak/woofs in his sleep relatively often, but this he never does so it just felt like such a treat. :)
