I have so much to do, so of course I spent a good chunk of the afternoon lying in bed.

I work tomorrow, and Sunday. Uni all the other days except Saturday of course. One day off a week is not really enough for me.

Especially with all the disabled hours I have to put in. The most pressing thing I have to do now is figure out how to use some software I wasn't able to follow along with in the seminar on Friday when we were shown how to use it. And I have to chase up the reading for that class (forensic linguistics) which I had to specially request an electronic version of because one didn't exist yet.

Andrew's hardly been out of bed today either, only for about five hours. He's felt worse and worse as the day's gone on. But he still managed to do some dishes and hang up the laundry I put on, which has been a big help.

I may not have gotten any uni work done but I tidied a bit and cleaned the bathroom which is at least a useful kind of procrastination. But it doesn't take much for me to get behind... New readings to do for this week now already, ugh.

Fwd to your disability adviser as an urgent email and ask her to intervene cos this is stressing you out. They MUST provide a reading list in advance... It should be their job to sort out the library wrangling too!

Happy to help with words if needed.

I'd keep it really simple.

"Hi Name,

I'm forwarding an email conversation between Dr-DICKHEAD and myself about the reading for module NAME-CODE. As you can see, Dr-DICKHEAD is suggesting that he will only supply the reading week by week which will mean my accessible copies will be delayed and I am unable to read ahead if I have a better week than usual.

I am finding this really stressful and do not feel Dr DICKHEAD understands the issue or is listening to me.

Could you please intervene with Dr-DICKHEAD and ask him to supply the whole term's reading to me ASAP so I can liaise with the library to get it converted for me.

Thanks!

SIGNOFF"

Then high priority and read receipt the email.

Worst case, adviser says no, in which case I'd complain cos there's a point at which they need to use their clout.

I spent really quite a lot of Sunday and Monday evenings lying in bed. I am hoping that tonight I might manage to do something other than that.

And your lecturer and his bloody reading list is SO BAD. ARGH.

Heaven forbid anyone get AHEAD ON THE READING like say to build up a bit of contingency in case SOMETHING OTHER THAN STUDYING needs to happen.

(In my case, migraine can take me out unexpectedly; or childcare emergency; or what-the-fuck-ever, when you deal with humans, you should expect the full range of human problems.)
