[264/365] on this day
Sep. 21st, 2019 04:36 pmFaceook has this feature where it tells you what you wrote (or were tagged in) on the same day in previous years and yesterday I noticed again that this is the second year in a row I was struggling with a September taken up with visiting my parents, then conference, then uni starting, with only a few days between each thing. A year ago yesterday, I'd said
I have been wondering what the gig was though; I don't mention it in any more detail and I can't for the life of me think what it was now. I checked here, but I only wrote one entry that whole week and it wasn't about this. I guess this is one good thing about making myself blog every day this year, I've gotten used to the expectation that such mundane things will be recorded.
ETA: Oh I just realized Facebook tells me this for today! It was a gig at The Peer Hat of that band Stuart was in at the time.
Today I see from Facebook that, two years ago, I'd said "I can't wait until classes start next week, it'll be such a nice break from this week and even weekend, which are jammed full of things I have to do." I had all that extra freshers'-type shit to get through that week, too. My first attempts at disability stuff I'm just now, at the beginning of my last year, learning how to successfully wrangle. By the time I'm done being a student, I might know how to be one.
Part of me wants to sleep forever and not talk (it's the only way to get my voice back! I'd have been over this laryngitis by now if I hadn't had to speak so much...and if I hadn't gone to Glee) and not go outside...This year the only difference seems to be that I got the cold early so I was mostly better by the time I got home, and I don't have such a busy weekend planned. Nothing at all today, which has led to the usual depression I get when I don't have plans. The weather is beautiful and I feel like I'm wasting it. I cleaned (some of) the house and bought myself a new phone cover because mine is broken.
But the other part knows I've got work tomorrow and then a gig I'm excited about going to on Friday, and I intend to be near if not actually at Thought Bubble on Saturday, and I'm going to Brighouse on Sunday... And then I start uni on Monday!
