[253/365] I'm home!
Sep. 10th, 2019 07:26 pmAndrew met me at the airport at ten thirty this morning, which was super nice of him. He was also willing to take my suitcase home by himself so I could go do other stuff that was more time-sensitive:
I tried to get my messy hair cut (the place was closed so it'll have to wait until Friday, which seems like a long time when I've been uncomfortable with it for weeks already, but I'll live. In the process I had stuff to praise one Stagecoach driver for and complain about like three or four other ones, so I did that.
I went for lunch with
diffrentcolours, having missed both him and vegetarian-friendly protein a lot. We had burritos. It was great.
I came home and had a shower. I needed it because that much travel makes a person gross, but also my poor hair. The one thing wrong with the Lush shampoo bars that are the only shampoo I've yet found that works on my hair and scalp is that they don't pack well. So I always think "I'll be fine for a week" and forget what it's like at my parents' house, where all the shampoo is "moisturizing" for my mom's dry fine hair so my hair ends up gross and my scalp is differently gross.
I was very excited to see Gary and he was excited to see me -- ran down the stairs from where he'd been sleeping on our bed, bounced around a little -- but no more so than if I'd just been out for lunch and not gone for ten days. Gary lives in the moment. It's very inspiring. He really wanted me to go to bed and I did need a nap by then. He snuggled up next to me and immediately started with the tiny cute snores, breathing on my leg and being so cozy. Like I said, he's an inspiration.
Been a good first day back.

Date: 2019-09-11 04:12 pm (UTC)Taking a new one and leaving it there might be an idea. Though really I should just buy some Andrew-friendly shampoo ther, because tea tree is one of the few things his skin can cope with and it's also much less hard on my hair and scalp than the stuff my mom buys.
