Today has been good day.

Andrew was kind enough to sort out tickets for "that Lizzo person you like" as he called her in a text to me the other day alerting me that she's playing Manchester in November. So me, diffrentcolours, mother_bones, my friend Katie and I are all going and I'm very excited.

diffrentcolours and Mike and I had a busy day campaigning. I helped with leaflet delivery this morning! Which I hadn't done in about ten years; it burns a lot of spoons for me in both vision and potential-anxiety. But D was really good at helping me out and making sure I was okay, so I was. I was very proud of myself.

And we did canvassing (knocking on people's doors and asking them stuff about how they're going to vote) this afternoon which I'm even less good at: all the obstacles of delivering but with the added exhausting element of potentially talking to strangers. I did very little but it was still hard on me so I was glad to have a nice pub dinner and a couple of pints afterward and I'm looking forward to bed very soon.

I love how politically active you are. Good for you!

I'm lucky to have friends who like doing this which makes it a bit more fun and more like a holiday than it would be otherwise. Because we have worked bloody hard but we've also had some great meals and sat in pubs enjoying local beers and more normal stuff that people do. :)

I watched that on the iPlayer and I said it was like a religious experience for me. :) She's definitely the musical discovery of the year for me.
