Sometimes it's better to light a flamethrower than curse the darkness

I didn't really learn about them as branches or classes, but we did learn about single-celled vs. multi-celled organisms. And kind of vaguely about how they fit into, e.g. 'kingdoms' (animals, plants, fungi, amoebas or something.... and something else :) I wasn't kidding about biology not being my strong point! another thing that's spooky to me is that mushrooms are a whole different kind of thing from other plants, btw). But all that kingdom, phylum, etc.etc. stuff was utterly lost on me too.
