Sometimes it's better to light a flamethrower than curse the darkness

With Jenn and I, this sort of thing is standard. Usually it's not something I can even write about, because I can't remember them later--not in any way that's worth telling other people. But when this happened I found it noteworthy and tried really hard to keep it in my brain for six hours until I got home, and I did better than I thought I would, so it was actually worth posting.
