[23/365] the return of things we take for granted

The hot water finally got fixed today! It took a bunch of waiting and my job when the boiler guy was here was to be behind a closed door with Gary and all his feelings about hating closed doors and hearing noises on the other side of them. I put on some music to try to cover the noises, sang to him, held him in my arms when he got clingy and tried to encourage him away from the door when he fixated on it. It was surprisingly exhausting.

We took him for a walk and then walked ourselves to the pharmacy and then needed a little nap and then diffrentcolours cut my hair! I'd wanted a haircut a couple weeks ago but he was so busy and then starting last weekend I couldn't have a shower which means I'd have just been covered in little itchy hairs forever so it had to wait until now.

I'm feeling much better after a haircut and a shower. I'm sure I smell better too.
