Adventures in electrons
Sep. 17th, 2007 01:28 pmI'm supposed to be packing. So far, I shopped (in vain) for books to read on the plane and put lots of new music (thanks
envoy!) on my mp3 player. Now that I've got the important stuff out of the way I suppose I have to worry about stupid things like clothes.
And this: If I plug in my US cell phone into my UK cell phone charger, will it make the phone blow up or something? They're both Nokia so it seems physically possible to do this, I just would like to know if it's advisable.
I'd probably be all nonchalant about this if it weren't for that fact that I remember things like my mom's hair dryer melting her hair though of course shse had the benefit of the plug-socket adapter thingy. Even on its 'cool' setting we smelled burning hair, so perhaps you can see why this has given me pause.
Edit: It works! My phone is now charged up fine and nothing has blown up or even smoldered.
