I'm so bored with this. As soon as I unofficially decided that I couldn't be bothered to find a new blog host site or a way to read my friends' entries, LJ/6A go and make me feel bad again for staying here.
As
astvinr says in the comments, "The BBC have a disclaimer on their sites that any webpages they link to are not their responsibility - so there's no legal basis for this silliness, let alone physical possiblity. The Beeb say that because they know even they don't have the resources to moderate every single link. Yet this bunch expect ordinary LJ users to do this themselves. They really are screwing up. Bother."
I still don't know if I will change anything, but I also agree with
fragiletender there: "I honestly don't think it's a major problem for me but ... I'm increasingly of the opinion that Six Apart should be forced to experience the consequences of their insane actions. If they're going to keep on down this moronic path, which they seem utterly intent on doing, then they fucking deserve to have users leaving in droves."
(To be honest, for now I'm sick to death of blogging, period, but I know I can't abandon it because I'm already feeling extra-lonely these days and I'd miss the hell out of too many of you.)
