Falkland Is

Well, okay, it is. Except when I got offered a piece of chocolate today, and when a guy recognized me as someone he saw at the bus stop yesterday. (How do people do that? I'm always amazed because I'm so terrible at recognizing people. If he doesn't wear that red shirt tomorrow I have no chance of knowing who he is!)
Everything else is drudgery ... but at least it's educational!
Yesterday, I learned how to launder money! As one learns all important things: via PowerPoint! With little clip-art pictures of burglars skulking around with big bags with $ on the sides. Then, I watched some skits and took a quiz with questions like "Do all disabled people use wheelchairs?" and "Can visually impaired people use computers?" (The answers may shock you.) Computer-based training is so fun!
Putting things in envelopes taught me that, in addition to the United Arab Emirates with which I am familiar, there are apparently Other United Arab Emirates! I don't know much about what's called the Uae on some other letters (I saw Usa and Pr China as well; I love the British disregard for acronyms, their insistence that things like Uefa are totally normal words), so I can hardly speak for what the regular United Arab Emirates are for, much less the Other ones or what makes them so other!
I also saw a letter addressed to Falkland Is. For the rest of the day I was thinking Waiting is ... Falkland Is ... waiting is ..
I thought that was a random and novel postal abbreviation, until this morning brought a letter intended for Count Galway. It's just too bad that this was the last line of the address, and not the first. So I suppose it's more likely to mean that I'm not the only one who doesn't catch all her typos, which is heartening if not as cool as an Irish vampire.
But then, Ireland isn't too far away. Perhaps this is for the best after all; much as I'd like to believe otherwise, I'd just end up being scared of Count Galway.
