I know I'm not responsible (and my employers are really incredibly clear that, like, when I did need to miss an important hospital appointment for L the other week, it is not my fault that they can't get enough PAs.
But it's still tough to see people suffering and going without. It shouldn't depend on me alone but the reality is tat for now my presence or absence is the single thing that's making a huge difference in people's lives. It's intense.
Brain is processing a bit better today, luckily. I did worry a few times this morning that I'd dreamed the whole new-job thing, but other than that I'm getting better. :)
