It does make sense, and it sounds wonderful. It seems not unlike my experience with this piece: I know it as well as I know any tune, but still found this performance arresting, compelling, when I was least expecting it (partly precisely because I know it so well).

I cannot recommend it highly enough; I'm interested to know what you'll think of the Adagio if you do listen to it.
