I don't think declaring that you might have a crush on a train announcer voice is particularly quotidian. :-) What your days must be like, if that's day to day!

But I do see what you mean. I have a tendency — sometimes horrible, sometimes fun — to do just that: think about others' (or my own) offhand remarks until I've twisted them all out of shape.
