Love living in a queer household

As V was going upstairs for their shower today, they said to me "oh, there's a letter in your LARP name here." Like it's a really normal thing to say.

(I can't remember if I explained here, but I call it a LARPname instead of a deadname because it's not dead, it's limited to certain...roles that I sometimes have to play in live-action.)

Oddly enough because of the way UK law works (legal name change, replacement bc and all that) I couldn't legally use that deadname even if I wanted to. :o)

I do like that.

I insistently refer to mine as "my old name". I don't still use it and I don't want anyone to use it for me, but it's not its fault, and the implications of "deadname" don't fit my experience.
