Goddammit

Waking up too tired and ill to get out of bed.
The mention of Highway 71 and Wadena.
Being asked how I'm doing.
Old P60s.
Doing things.
Not doing things.
Wanting to do things.
Not wanting to be the kind of person who cries so often lately she finds it worth talking about.
Playing solitaire on my phone.
The Minnesota State Fair being so far from where I am.
The past.
The future.
Going so long without a break, a holiday, an adventure, something.

So sorry, H. All we can do is hope to come up with a way to make it better. x

All of those exacerbated by the ever-shortening daylight hours.

As you say, all things must pass. These funks, though, pass like a kidney stone, don't they?

Hang in there.

All things are worse as winter approaches. All things will get better in spring.

Every other weekend I'll be Wayneless, could I interest you in an outing with me and Semtex?

I remember seeing on the good old internet a while ago, a random chap proposing two ways to improve life - decrease the suck, and increase the awesome.

Sadly, I doubt there's much I can do to help you decrease the suck. But perhaps I can offer a way to increase the awesome.

I'm starting a new science communications project, and need somebody "general public" (not a scientist) with an interest in science, to read through some things online and tell me whether they
a) understand
b) found it interesting
c) can navigate the website easily

Interested?
